JARAMILLO -- Michael (Ruben) Jaramillo, 50, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2004. Mike was born on April 16, 1954 to Alice and Ruben Jaramillo. His parents preceded him in death in 1970. His Uncle Guillermo Martinez, who was like a second Dad to him, preceded him in death on March 5, 2000. Mike is survived by his sister, Trindo Jaramillo-Martinez and nieces, Rebecca Jaramillo-Martinez and Melissa Jaramillo-Martinez. Also, Aunt Ruth Martinez "Mom," close cousins, Mary and Ladiz Turrietta, and Gary and Mary Martinez. Mike is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Mike's housemates at his Gibson home, as well as the friends he made throughout the years at ARCA, are also a part of his extended family. Mike had challenges everyday of his life, but he always had a smile and a big hug for you. Mike had a heart full of love, kindness, and above all a great love for God our Father in Heaven. We know that Mike is now in the arms of his Mom and Dad. They will all watch over us. Trindo, Rebecca, and Melissa would like to thank everyone who over the years worked with Mike to learn new skills, who helped care for him, and thank you for loving our dear Mike. We will never forget the kindness shown to my brother and our uncle. Mike touched many hearts in the 50 years he lived on this Earth and he will always be remembered. To honor Mike, let us all remember to always show compassion, understanding, and love for everyone. We love you Mike and we are going to miss you so much. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be make in Mike's name to ARCA (Gibson Group Home), 5609 Gibson SE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108. These will be placed in Mike's housemates' accounts for their personal use. A Rosary for Mike will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary.
