TOWNES -- James Maston Townes, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, October 16, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Brown of Albuquerque; and sister, Sally Townes-Karlsson and brother-in-law, Karl of Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Junius Marvin Townes and mother, Frances Beauton Townes. Jimmy was born in Texas and spent many years in Los Angeles and New Orleans before moving to Albuquerque ten years ago. He worked as a freelance photographer, musician and avant-garde poet/artist. He was a beloved husband, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place.
