ENGEL -- Rilla Maxine Engel, 87, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2004. She is survived by her son, Lyman Eugene Engel and wife, Velma of Albuquerque; a granddaughter, Michele Gray and husband, John; and two great-granddaughters, Cora and Jennifer, all of Buffalo, WY; a nephew, Ken Blair and wife, Pat of Lawrence, KS; a niece, Barbara Blair of Topeka, KS; great-nieces, Cindy Gentry and husband, Nick and their two daughters, Nicole and Laura; a great-nephew, David Blair and wife, DeAnna and their two sons, Bill and Joseph of Shawnee, KS; a great-niece, Christine Laskowski and husband, Mike and two children, Christine and Mark of Lawrence, KS; three step-grandchildren, Bruce Nogar of Tucson, AZ, Brian Nogar of Albuquerque, and Brenda Wildes of Florida. Rilla was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Franklyn Eugene; and a son, Larry Duane; her parents, Sterret and Lela McElroy; and a sister, Evelyn Blair. She is a member of the Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken Place. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS.
