RAEL -- Pedro A. Rael, age 77, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2004. A native New Mexican, he served in the US. Army and retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools. Pedro was a member of San Ignacio Catholic Church, where he was very involved in the Music Program, having played the guitar for the choir. Pedro was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Rael; and grandson, Gabriel Rael. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rael; children, Frances Beltran, Sylvia Rael, Mary Jean Jimenez and husband, Raphael, Debbie Nuanes, Tony Rael and wife, Linda, Peter Rael, Lydia Girado, Johnny Lucero, Loretta Woodard, Geniva Rivera, and Leonard Lucero; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Rael, James Rael, Juan Rael and wife, Arcelia; sister, Agueda Candelaria; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at San Ignacio Catholic Church, 1300 Walter NE. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2004. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2004. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008
