MAYER -- Joan Patricia Mayer, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2004. Mrs. Mayer was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She will be deeply missed by her family. Mrs. Mayer was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Norman E. Mayer in 1997. She is survived by her beloved family, which includes her children: Joyce Reszka and husband, Larry, Denise Wilcox and husband, Robert, Beth Mayer, Keith Mayer, and Laura McEldowney and husband, James, all of Albuquerque, Gloria Hines and husband, Jeff of Colorado, and Karen Howell of Virginia; grandchildren, Scott Reszka and wife, Kelli of Colorado, Brett Reszka of Arizona, Brandon Wilcox, Bryan Wilcox, Jamie Lenberg, Erik Perrin, Cameron Mayer, Kaitlyn McEldowney, and Lucas McEldowney, all of Albuquerque, Derek Hines and Jason Hines of Colorado, Joshua Howell, Samantha Howell, and Seth Howell, all of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Joshua, and Arianne Reszka of Colorado, and Estella Reszka of Arizona. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd NE, 10500 Lomas NE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 20, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel NE. Private interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Scott Reszka, Brett Reszka, Brandon Wilcox, Bryan Wilcox, Cameron Mayer, and Erik Perrin. Honorary Pallbearer will be Lucas McEldowney.
