MARTINEZ -- Merejildo (Eloy) Martinez Jr. passed away Monday, August 9, 2004, after a long illness. He is survived by his lifelong companion, Sophie Bazan; son, Claude Bazan; daughter, Mildred Martinez-Gallegos and husband, Trinidad; brother, Gilbert Martinez and wife, Alice; sister, Rosella Marcum and husband, Dale of Michigan. Eloy was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Bazan; daughter, Susan Mora; parents, Merejildo and Dolores Martinez. A rosary and mass were held. He will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, August 13, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospice for their support and help during these very difficult times.
