GREER -- James "Jay" Cecil Greer died on Tuesday, August 10, 2004. A native of Newburn, TN, Mr. Greer was a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM. Graveside Services will be held at a later date in Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Mr. Greer is survived by son, William H. "Bill" (Juanita) Greer of Murfreesboro; brother, William H. (Marion) Greer of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters, Christi (Ron) Thompson, and Holly (Matt) Flock. James was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette H. Greer. Mr. Greer was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was also retired owner and operator of "The Lamp Shop" in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Marks UMC, Murfreesboro, TN. Woodfin Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements, 615-893-5151.
