GARCIA -- Guadalupe "Grandpa" Garcia was born in Albuquerque on August 24, 1916. He passed away August 7, 2004 at his home. Guadalupe was preceded in death by his wife, Louisa in 1977; and his two sons, Clemente Garcia and Henry Garcia. He is survived by his two children, Emily Chavez and husband, Hilario, and Jerry Garcia; sisters, Tillie Martinez and husband, Juan, and Beatrice Chavez; brother, Rosendo Garcia and wife, Millie; 14 grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco Dr. SW., on Thursday, August 12, 2004. The visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
