NUNEZ -- Dorothy Nunez, born March 7, 1931, has gone home to the Lord on August 8, 2004, in the loving arms of her family after a long battle with lupus. Her son, Richard Dunker, preceded Dorothy in death. Dorothy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, James Nunez; one son, Frank Carrillo; two step-sons, Gilbert Nunez and James Nunez Jr.; three step-daughters, Mercy Chavez, Eunice Benedict, and Katie Chesawella. Also surviving Dorothy are her three sisters; two brothers; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Dorothy was a 17 year Los Lunas resident where she was a member of The Church of the Nazarene of Los Lunas. Visitations will be held on Wednesday morning, August 11, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Services to be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary.
