CHAVEZ -- Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Mark Chavez Jr., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday at the age of 27. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on May 11, 1977. He graduated from Del Norte High School and was a two sport letterman in football and track. He was also very active in softball. He was a very loving, outgoing and charismatic person and will be deeply missed by many. Kenneth was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Chavez and maternal grandfather, Richard Serna. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Mark Chavez, mother, Carmen R. Pepe; one sister, Jessica Chavez; stepfather, Enzo "Vincenzo" Pepe; stepmother, Marian Chavez; paternal grandmother, Bessie Chavez; maternal grandmother, Priscilla Serna; paternal great grandmother, Ricarda Maez; maternal great grandmother, Mary Serna; children, Maya and Kiano Chavez; step-brother, Michael Chavez; step-sister, Ashley Chavez; cousins, Isaac Candelaria, Randy Chavez Jr., Raymond Lopez, Amber Lopez, Adam Chavez Jr., James Chavez, Benny Chavez, Dennis Pritchard, Patrick Baca, Charlie Baca and Ronnie Baca; aunts, Lorella Serna, Mae Torrez, Cynthia Candelaria and Susan Lopez and uncles, Adam and Randy Chavez. Kenneth will be deeply missed by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning, June 25, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaac Candelaria, Adam Chavez, Raymond Lopez, Dennis Pritchard, Joshua Rochelle and Charlie Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Chavez Sr., Michael Chavez, Patrick Baca, Ronnie Baca, Randy Chavez Jr. and Adam Chavez Jr. Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
