HERRERA-GARCIA -- Theresa Herrera-Garcia, age 50, born May 6, 1954 to Mary Jane Garcia-Herrera and Manuel Herrera, passed away June 1, 2004. Theresa is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane; and sister, Velma Trujillo. Theresa is survived by one son, Gabriel Garcia; and one daughter, Tanya Garcia and "Bronx" the family dog, whom she loved very dearly; and former husband, Adunio Garcia. Theresa is also survived by three brothers, Dean Herrera, Marcelino Herrera and wife, Dianna and Bernie Herrera all from Albuquerque; four sisters, Elizabeth Herrera-Clark and husband, Ray, Emily Gordon and husband, Tom, Rosemary Herrera and Bernadette Herrera-Martinez and husband, Augustine; Godchildren, Bernadine Martinez and Catherine Renee Zamora; her grandmother, Nieves Garcia; and step-grandfather, Fidel Gonzales; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be greatly missed. Theresa graduated from Manzano High School in 1972; she worked at the NM Department of Labor where she retired in April 2000. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Post 13. Cremation services were handled by Direct Services. A private rosary will be held on June 4, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Chavez of St. Frances Xavier Church. Mass will held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 1800 Martha NE. For information call 304-8317.
