BRADEN -- Richard Jackson "Dick" Braden, 82, of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles L. and Margery M. Braden. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Harriett A. Braden; daughters, Carol D. Fox and husband, Don and Gail R. Zemke and husband, Dave; sons, Charles D. Braden and wife, Terri and Richard Morgan Braden and wife, Davene; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Richard graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended UNM. He joined the Army Air Corps and served in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands as Theater of Operation for 3 1/ 2 years. He then came back to Albuquerque and married Harriett A. Beck on January 1, 1947. Dick went to work at Mike London Sports for nine years as assistant business manager and referee, he then opened his own business, Braden Distributors until his retirement in 1997. He was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. He is now singing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ with the angels in heaven and his family will rejoice with him again someday. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die" John 11:25. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 Alvarado SE, with Pastor John Heffelfinger officiating.
