WRIGHT -- Jo Meda Wright, 69, longtime resident of Bosque Farms, quietly passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2004. Jo Meda was born in Wapanucka, OK on August 2, 1934. She moved to Bosque Farms in 1965 with her husband William to raise a family. Jo Meda loved sports and could always be found in the stands or on the sideline of her children's ballgames as they grew up. She carried on her love of sports faithfully following her grandchildren to their games and other events. It was on a rare occasion when she could not travel to a game from the early 1970's until now. When no one else was there to cheer the team she was always there. She loved to spend time with family and friends. Her favorite spot was in the Rocky Mountains on the San Juan river in Colorado, a place her and her husband have had for years. She loved to fish and could often be found quietly fishing by herself on the bank of a lake or in the middle of a stream. She was a devoted wife and mother and spent her life as a homemaker providing for and taking care of her family and grandchildren. She was a friend to so many and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father Hollis Faulkenberry of Coalgate, OK. She is survived by her mother Doris Faulkenberry of Coalgate, OK; husband of 51 years, William Wright of Bosque Farms; son, Larry and his wife, Elizabeth of Bosque Farms; daughter, Shellie of Bosque Farms; grandchildren, Landon, Lucas and Lauriel of Bosque Farms; brother, Danny Faulkenberry and his wife, Margaret of Bella Vista, AR; and many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2004. Friends may visit 10:00 a.m. for a pre-service viewing. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lovelace Hospice Program, 5403 Gibson Blvd. SE, Siesta Hills, Bldg. 1, 87108. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
