FLORENCE -- John Florence, 62 years of age, past away on Monday, March 8, 2004. John was one of seven children born to Manuel and Rita Florence on March 2, 1942 in Las Vegas, NM. He leaves behind a legacy of three children: Manuel Florence, Carla Olivas, and Adele Nieto, as well as seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by Julia Florence. He leaves his loved ones with many warm and loving memories. John Florence will always remain in the hearts of his friends and family and will be missed dearly. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to attend a rosary held in honor of John on Thursday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m., at San Antonio Mission located on North Los Lentes in Los Lunas and a service on Friday, March 12, at 9:00 a.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas located at 435 Coronado Road. He will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to 201 Phillips Road in Los Lunas on Friday, March 12, at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family would also like to thank the Veterans Hospital and the staff for their help and generosity in caring for John.
