HOOPER -- Louisa May Hooper passed away on March 4, 2004 at Monzano Del Sol here in Albuquerque. She was 92. Louisa was a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, and was best known for her fabulous garden of iris and dahlias. She won numerous awards at the State Fair for her flowers, and was quite active in several local garden clubs. Louisa is survived by her daughter, Linda Ward; her four grandchildren, Greg, Beth, Stephanie and Steve Herlein; her two younger sisters, Grace and Paula Sapier, and thier children Candy and Gigi, and Mark. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Road N.E. on Saturday March 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Louisa suffered from dementia for the last years of her life and lost her husband and son to cancer. The family suggests memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association (800-272-3900) or the American Cancer Society (800-ACS-2345).
