MANTEI -- Alan D. Mantei, 47, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 27, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Freda Falk Mantei of Albuquerque; mother, Ella Mantei of Albuquerque; sister, Carol Mantei-Fatherree and husband Bob of Mission, TX; brother, Steven Mantei and wife Terrie of Hawthorne, NV; sister, Lorraine Mantei and husband Richard Tuck of DeSoto, TX; and several nieces, nephews and a very large, supportive and loving family of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Chet Mantei, in 1983. Alan was born in Batavia, NY on April 22, 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy. Alan spent most of his life in Albuquerque and Richmond, VA. For the past two and a half years, he and his "Hon Bun", Freda, have followed their vagabond dream of traveling in their Speshmobile, exploring America. Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2004, 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
