FIELD -- Frances Irene Field, 75 a resident of Albuquerque since 1997, passed away on February 21, 2004. Loving and beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, and friend, she was born in Brooklyn New York on January 1, 1929, the daughter of Sylvia Lieberman and Israel Isidore Gitelman, immigrant refugees from Pinsk, Belarus. She graduated from the High School of Music and Art in Manhattan, was a lifelong devotee of music, and graduated from Long Island University, majoring in retailing. Married in 1949 to George W. Field, an immigrant refugee from Hungary, they lived in New York, with their two sons, Warren (of Chicago, Illinois) and Les (of Albuquerque). She and George lived in Nashua, New Hampshire after 1968, where she was a successful retailer, residential and commercial real estate agent. George passed away in 1985, and she stayed on in Nashua until 1997. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her brother, Jack and sister-in-law, Beverly of Brooklyn, NY; two daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Gia; and her five grandchildren: Steven (18), Joshua (15), Lukas (14), Simon (11), and Maia (9). Everywhere she lived, she contributed to her Jewish community and made lifelong friends. Services will be held at Temple Albert on Tuesday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m., internment to follow at the Congregation Albert Cemetery within Fairview Memorial Park.
