KING -- Roberta F. King, (Bobbie) formerly of 639 Washington, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at La Vida Llena Healthcare Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mrs. King had been a resident there since April 2002. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service February 16, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at the Emporia Zoo Educational Center with a luncheon immediately following. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Roberta Faye Service was born in Emporia on August 27, 1919, daughter of the late Robert L Service and Frances Hormel. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. She married Ralph E. King on June 15, 1941. Mr. and Mrs. Service, Ralph E. King and her brother Royal Alfred Service, James H, and Bessie King, her in-laws, James R. King, brother-in-law and Robert E. and Eleanor King, brother and sister in-law preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Janet and Terry Greer of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bonnie and Robert French of Tampa, Florida, and 3 granddaughters, Dana French of St. Louis, Missouri, Rhonda K. Evenson of Madison, Wisconsin and Cayce L French of Tampa, Florida, and her sister Bertha Mouse of Lisle, Illinois, Betty Davison and Lucille King, sisters-in-law, and Dorothy and William Mayer, sister and brother-in law all of Emporia. She was a 60 year member of the Merriam Chapter of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, the United Methodist Church, and the United Transportation Union Auxiliary.
