GOOD -- Mary Maxine Good, of Midland,Texas died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at her residence. A graveside service will be held in Duncan, Oklahoma on February 6, 2004 with arrangements provided by Grantham Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004 at First United Methodist Church in Midland, Texas with Reverend Jan Reed officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy. Midland, Texas. Maxine Good was born June 3, 1917 in Duncan, Oklahoma to John Carl Ray and Maude Sandefur Ray. She graduated from high school in Duncan, Oklahoma and attended college at Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasaw, Oklahoma. On September 26, 1939, she married Herman Wilson "Willie" Good. Prior to the birth of her children she worked for Bell Telephone Company and during WWII, she moved to Kermit, Texas to assist the war effort by working for Mobil Oil. She was an active volunteer in many social and charitable organizations including First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Sunday School Class, Mobil Wives, En Arnie Review Club, SCS Club, Old and New Timer's Bridge Club and Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Thomas Ray Good. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Good Hall and her husband, Russell Hall, of Midland, Texas and Jane Good Rowe and her husband Gordon H. Rowe, III of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Chris Hall, Jennifer Hall, Gordon Rowe and Emilee Rowe. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Midland, 305 N.
