CARR -- Terry Carr, 75, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004. She was born, Monday, October 1, 1928 in Emporia, Kansas. She was the daughter of Rev. Harry R. Weed and Thelma Fankhauser. After attending Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas, she taught school at a little country schoolhouse on the Kansas prairie in 1948. For the past 30 years, she was a real estate broker and owner of Terrydale Inc. in Albuquerque. As an active member of the League of Women Voters, in the year of 1967, she lobbied the State Legislature to enact a new constitution for New Mexico. She enjoyed working with people and always found something good to say about everyone. She was a woman of grace who graced the lives of those she knew. Terry is survived by husband, Jay; daughter, Rene' Horvath and husband, Joe; son, Brad; son, Robert and wife, Robyn; grandchildren, Nicole, Joel, and Rachel Horvath, Daniel Carr; sister, Todd Zernickow of San Pedro, CA; and brother Harry of Long Beach, CA. She will be missed by all those who loved her. Terry will be interned at Fairview Cemetery.
