BACA -- Trinidad (Bear) Baca, born September 14, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away January 30, 2004, surrounded by his loving family at the Veteran's Hospital. Bear was the son of the late Juan C. and Irene Baca. Bear is survived by his son, Mario Baca; and daughter, Irenes; two beautiful grandchildren, Jasmine and Joseph Trinidad; brothers, Joe Baca and wife, Stella, Timo L. Baca and wife, Bea, James Baca and wife, Wanima; sisters, Rosie Baca, Annie Salazar and husband, Charlie; many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Trinidad is preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes (by three(3) days); and son, Joseph Baca. Bear was a retired Vietnam Veteran. He loved his family and spent his life close to them. He enjoyed reading and reminiscing about family history and his Vietnam experience. He was a strong Christian man. A Rosary will be held for Trinidad and Mercedes on February 6, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at their home 2336 Malpaiz Rd. SW. Services will be held for Trinidad and Mercedes on Saturday February 7, 2004, 4:00 p.m. at Victory Outreach, 933 Sunset Rd. SW, Pastor Joe Williams officiating. Burial to be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 10, 2004.
