JOHNS -- Wayne E. Johns, a resident of Corona for three years and former resident of Albuquerque, flew into the loving arms of Jesus on January 27, 2004, at 7:35 p.m., after a valiant, hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dawn D. Johns; sons, Ron Johns and wife, Allisha of Arvada, CO, and Dan Johns and fiance, Shannon Cordova, of Arvada, CO; stepsons, Carl Black II and wife, Krystal of Tucson, AZ and Justin Black and wife, Cindy of Newcomb, NM; brother, John E. Johns of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Shelby Johns, Tazayre Johns, Tyler Johns, Hailey Johns and Jon Adamson; step-grandchildren, Carl Black III, Elizabeth Black and Logan Black; and an aunt, Rose Comerford of Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 11:00 a.m., at Sandia Church of the Nazarene, 2801 Louisiana Blvd. NE, with Rev. Marvin Pounds and Rev. Cal West, officiating.
