BECERRA -- Connie Becerra, 78, went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2004. She was born on October 7, 1925 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Connie was a member of Our Legion of Mary for several years. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Felix Gallegos and wife Toni and Ralph Gallegos and wife Veva. Mrs. Becerra is survived by her husband, Jerry Becerra; son, Roberto Becerra and wife Bernadette; daughters, Margaret Segura and husband Jesse and Lydia Gurule and Frank Shaw; brothers, Bennie Gallegos and wife Nina, Tony Chavez and Tina and Andy Gallegos and wife Isabel; sisters, Sophie Gurule and husband, Bruno, Rosie Chavez and husband, Ernie and Tarsila Griego and husband, Roy; grandchildren, Renee Gurule, Roberto Becerra Jr., Gabriel Becerra, James Gurule, LaReen Ramirez, and husband, Alex, Marla Segura and Stephanie Segura and great-grandchildren, Abrienna Gallegos, Caryssa Becerra, Ashley Ramirez, Alejandro Ramirez and Emiliano Ramirez. Connie will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations will be held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a rosary to be recited following at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Joe Vigil. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roberto Becerra, Gabriel Becerra, James Gurule, Leonard Gallegos, Ronnie Gallegos and Chris Gallegos. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Rodriguez.
