LEYBA -- Victor Jose Leyba went home today January 24, 2004 after a long illness. He was born October 29, 1939 in Pena Blanca, NM to his loving parents, Manuel and Delfina Leyba of Albuquerque. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel and Matthew Leyba; and son, Grant Estrada. He is survived by his wife, Tommie Leyba of San Luis, NM; and sons, Lee, Paul, Duane, Manuel, Allan and Victor Jr.; daughters, Loretta and husband, Ernest Madrid of Las Vegas, NV, Cynthia and fiance, Eric Gallegos of Albuquerque and Debbie of Colorado. also surviving are his extended children, Charlie, Ernie, Ruby, and Rebecca Garcia, Ernie Sandoval, Leroy, Candelaria, Antoinette Mauricio, Carla, Monique, Michael and Junior; 11 grandsons; and nine granddaughters. He also leaves behind his brothers, Eugene Leyba and wife, Rena, Lawrence, Johnny, and Alfred Leyba; sisters, Charlene and husband, Richard Montoya all of Albuquerque, Barbara and husband, Mike of Oregon; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and special friends. A special mention of his father and mother-in-law, Mariano and Josie Valencia and all the Valencia family of Bernalillo, NM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Victory Out Reach, 933 Sunset Rd. SW. Honorary pallbearers are Archie and Richard (Dickie) Valencia of Bernalillo.
