KUEFFNER -- Wilbert Kueffner, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2004. He was born March 21, 1919 in Cincinnati, OH where he lived most of his life, moving to Dumas, TX in 1990 and in 1994 to Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Ruth of 62 years, two daughters, Lynn Potts and husband, Bill of Cincinnati, OH, and Eileen Sierra and husband, Pete, of Albuquerque, one son, Fred Kueffner and wife, Bonnie of Longmont, CO and grandson Orion Kueffner and step grandson Ryan Sierra and wife Kelly and children Carter and Chandler Radzka of Albuquerque. He joins his mother, Elsie, and father, Andrew Kueffner and his grandson, Liam Kueffner in Heaven. He was a watchmaker for Gruen Watch Company in Cincinnati before owning his own business, Kueffner Jewelers in Cincinnati for 25 years. He worked in Albuquerque as a silversmith until his recent death. He was an accomplished musician, studying violin in grade school and becoming a concert violinist and concert meister in high school. He later played bass for the Cecil Young Orchestra in Cincinnati. He was a man of great faith, using his music in Glory to Jesus. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, and later, Faith Fellowship Ministries in Cincinnati and recently, Christian Freedom Church in Albuquerque. He was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano, NW with Rev. Lavenial R. Ballinger, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Uttermost Missions, 1232 West Kemper, #179, Cincinnati, Ohio 45240 to further Missionary work in Zimbabwe, or to the charity of ones choice.
