COLCLASURE -- Ruby G. Colclasure died Thursday, January, 22, 2004, in Boulder, Colorado after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was 84. The daughter of George M. and Etta Mae Johnson, she was born February 21, 1919, in Ellsworth, Iowa. She married Eddie Colclasure on March 21, 1946. She worked as a department manager for Montgomery Ward for 18 years and as a field representative for Gibson Card Co. She was voted ABWA La Luz Chapter Woman of the Year, and was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Colclasure was a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, who passed away in 1991. Survivors include two sons, Dale Colclasure of Boulder, CO and Clair Colclasure of Foster City, CA; three grandchildren, Tyson, Troy and Teneil of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Ferne Danger, Dorothy Cole and Mavis Clark; and many loving friends who will miss her deeply. Visitation/ viewing will be from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Fitzgerald & Son, 3113 Carlisle, N.E. A celebration service will held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ira E. Williams, Jr., officiating. The casket will not be opened at the service. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136.
