EMBERTON -- Geraldine Liberty Emberton, 85, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1975, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2004. Geraldine was born September 16, 1918 the daughter of Wilnor and Christine Christopherson McMahon in Galt, Iowa. She had been a payroll supervisor for the United States Government before retiring. She was a member of Chamisa Hills Country Club and was an avid golfer. Geraldine is survived by her husband, John W. Emberton of Rio Rancho; son, Donald E. Rutt of Kingwood,TX; daughter, Sondra (Rutt) Reynolds of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Ronda Klassen and husband Kenneth and Robert Reynolds and wife Heidi, all of Seattle, WA; two great-grandchildren, William K. Klassen and Michelle R. Klassen; and her caregiver Lori Svejcar. The Visitation for Geraldine will be held today, Wednesday, January 21, 2004 from 4 Pm to 8 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln, Rio Rancho with the Service on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary with Pastor Tom Melear officiating Entombment will follow in the Floral Garden Mausoleum in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
