BOWEN -- Winona L. Bowen, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, was called to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 15, 2004. Winona was born to Florence and Enoch Davis on July 16, 1916 in Browning, Illinois. She married Lawrence Bowen on November 6, 1932. Lawrence and Winona moved to Carlsbad in 1948. Winona was employed at the Atomic Energy Commission during the 1960's and 70's. She is survived by her sons, Larry E. Bowen and wife, Sharon and Kent J. Bowen, all of Albuquerque; four grandsons; one granddaughter; eight great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter, Mary Winona Bowen. Winona was a member of Los Altos Christian Church and was residing at Bear Canyon Estates for the past five years. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be Monday, January 19, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum BChapel, 924 Menual NE.
