QUINTANA -- Nemecio Euesbio Quintana, a resident of Bosque Farms, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2004. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, New Mexico. He was an old time cowboy who was born in Trujillo, New Mexico just out side of Las Vegas, New Mexico. He worked for the Bell Ranch near Conchas Damn for 25 years. Nemecio married Antonia U. Romero Quintana of Las Vegas, New Mexico on August 27, 1955. After leaving the ranch, they then settled in Bosque Farms for the remainder of their lives. He also worked construction all up and down the Rio Grande Valley after moving to the area. He is preceded in death by is wife, Antonia "Toni" Quintana in 1989; his mother, Isabel Quintana in 1981; and his brother, Joe Quintana in 2003. Nemecio is survived by his two loving children, Consuelo "Connie" and her husband, Ruben Lee Garcia of Socorro, NM; and Edward "Eddie" Quintana of Los Lunas, NM; five grandchildren, Ruben Lee Jr.; Antoinette Lee; and Donna Lee Garcia; and Kristi and Antonio Quintana; his father Euesbio Quintana of Pueblo, CO; and one sister, Emma Romero of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at Romero Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta on Friday, January 16, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Valencia Catholic Cemetery.
