JONES -- Alfred P. Jones, 85, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004. He was survived by his wife, Billie June Jones of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Beuford M. Jones of Pryor, OK; sister, Lorraine of Maineville, OH; sister-in-law, Bethlyn J. Hand of Westlake Village, CA; brother-in-law, Lloyd Hand of Washington, DC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alfred worked 21 years at Phillips Petroleum Company. He also served in WWII in the Omaha Beach invasion and on through Europe under General Patton. Alfred was treasurer for NM Appaloosa Racing Association, a member of NM Mounted Patrol and enjoyed raising and riding his Appaloosa horses. Cremation has taken place.
