CASTILLO -- Joe G. Castillo, age 75, beloved husband, brother and uncle was called to our Father's heavenly home, Wednesday, January 7, 2004. Joe was born in Cuba, NM and was a resident of Bernalillo. He enjoyed gardening, and wording on cross word puzzles. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Helen P. Castillo of the family home; two sisters, Tomasita Lyon and husband Harold, Amantina Lucero; two brothers, Sisto Castillo, and Fermin Castillo and wife Leonor; special nieces and nephews, Frances Santillanes and husband Herman, Joe Lucero and wife Rosemary, Michael Castillo, and Danny Castillo. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Chris Perea and wife Jane; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitations will be held Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo; followed by the reciting of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Joe Lucero, Lawrence Castillo, Joseph Lucero, Chris Lucero, Raymundo Lucero, and Danny Castillo.
