ERDAL -- Cliff Erdal, 89, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003. He is survived by his son, Bruce R. Erdal and wife, Jean Elizabeth of Los Alamos, NM; sister, Lillian Madson of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Arnold Erdal of Macintosh, NM; special niece, Naoma Greiner and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Mr. Erdal was preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years, Louise Hubbell Erdal, his second wife of 4 years, Lucretia "Billie" Erdal. He was born in Fargo, North Dakota on September 26, 1914 and moved to Albuquerque with his family when he was 9 years old. Mr. Erdal worked as a carrier and eventually a personnel manager for the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1971, after 35 years of service. He subsequently devoted his time restoring the Hubbell House in Pajarito, NM. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. The family would like to express a special thanks to Laurel Heights for their loving care. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Patricia Holman officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
