STULTZ -- Lessie Mae Ferrell Stultz, 90, passed away peacefully in her daughter's home on December 10, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Stultz Carpenter and husband William (Bill) of Albuquerque, NM; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, Joseph W. Carpenter and his daughter, Meaghan Elisabeth of Albuquerque, Steve Weddle and his wife, Melissa and daughter, Sunny Gail of Rockwall, TX, Kathleen A. Carpenter Lucero and husband, Brennan and children William Michael and Alora Michelle of Albuquerque, NM, Jonathan Stultz Carpenter and his wife, Jenean Lintz Carpenter and their children, Mary Caitlin, Jacob Isaac and Margaret Anne of Albuquerque, NM, Leah Weddle Wheeler and husband, Tim and their children, Lindsey Morgan and Timothy Edward of Rockwall, TX and son-in-law, John Weddle and wife, Paulette of Rockwall, TX. In addition, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Rex Stultz and wife, Alice of Dallas, TX, sister-in-law Thera Stultz of Ballinger, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gus George Stultz, in June 2003, their daughter, Shirley Faye Stultz Weddle in 1975 and brother-in-law Bill Stultz in 1987. Mrs. Stultz, one of eight children, was born and raised in North Texas. She completed her schooling in Denton, TX. She then moved to Dallas to work for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service. Her future husband, Gus G. Stultz also worked in the same office, doing fieldwork. The way the story was always told, Mr. Stultz came in from the field one day, saw Mrs.Stultz across the office and promptly announced that he had "seen the woman he was going to marry". After dating and some persuasion, they were married two years later. She was a homemaker most of her life. She and her husband lived primarily in Texas until 1993 when they moved to Albuquerque, NM to be near their daughter, Patricia. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Internment will be at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, Mesquite, TX. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Oaks, Dallas, TX with William T. Stephenson presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Fellowship Christian Reform Church, 4800 Indian School NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, 268-3700.
