PEREA -- Eloisa Armenta Perea passed away peacefully in her home on November 22, 2003 at 6:45 p.m. surrounded by her family. She was 93 years old. Preceded in death by her husband, Daniel G. Perea on April 14, 1965. She is survived by her devoted son, Epic and his caring wife, Lupita; she was the loving grandmother of Daniel and Rita and their spouses, Maribel and Marvin; and the great-grandmother of Daniel, Karina Micahel and Daniel. She is survived by her sisters, Rachael, Ruby; her husband, Eulogio Sanchez; many nephews and nieces; and her dear friends, Joe and Mary Padilla and Carol Dineen. Eloisa was born on January 16, 1910 in El Canon, NM, where she was raised in a large family. In 1946, she moved to San Francisco and settled in Potrero Hill with her husband and raised their family. She was a label inspector and a member of the Graphics Communications Union Local 583, the St. Anthony Fraternity of the 3rd Order and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. She was an active member of St. Teresa's Parish where she served God and her community in Many capacities, ministering to the sick, helping the less fortunate and as a role model for others. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2003 with recitation of the rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1860 Griegos NW.
