HOEBERLING -- Mark William Hoeberling, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, December 8, 2003, of respiratory failure after 27 courageous years living as a complete quadraplegic following a trampoline accident in 1976. He was born April 24, 1960 in Detroit, MI and moved to Albuquerque in 1971. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Marie Hoeberling of Hazel Park, MI and Waldo and Rose Long of Albuquerque; father, Robert W. Hoeberling of Albuquerque; uncle and aunt, Ernest and Marion Koch of Waterford, MI; and nephew, Reece Nord of Albuquerque. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie G. Hoeberling; three sisters, Cynthia Chapman and husband, Paul, Barbara Nord and husband, Michael, Susan Wolf and husband, Greg; nephews, Jesse and Shea Nord; nieces, Lauren and Ashley Chapman and Mikaela and Madison Wolf. A memorial service celebrating his new life will be held Thursday, December 11, 2003, at 4:00 p.m., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, officiated by Pastor Larry Moss, Dr. Ron McConnell and Pastor Don Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hosanna-Faith Comes by Hearing, 2421 Aztec Road NE, Albuquerque 87107 and the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches, 6209 Hendrix Road NE, Albuquerque 87110.
