Jim's many friends fondly remember the gentle giant who, one year ago, after having lived five lifetimes, brushed the molt of guardian angels from his shoulders and stepped into the ages. He taught so much to so many, from child to centenarian, his classroom extending from the bowels of the earth to the farthest star, his topics ranging from atomic nuclei to the outer limits of the universe. Though human in every respect, his heart was bigger than the sky. He helped everyone without respect to class or culture.
