TAFT -- Derrick O. Taft II, 36, a resident of Albuquerque for 32 years, passed away November 25, 2003. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Persian Gulf. He is survived by his parents, Jimmie C. and Ruth Taft of Albuquerque; brother, Calvin of Sacramento, CA; half-sisters, Jimelvia Pettiford-Martin and Laynette Freeman; and numerous other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 1, 2003, 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors.
