NEWCOMB -- Mary Ella Newcomb, aged 73, a resident of Moriarty, NM, passed away Monday, November 3, 2003 in her home surrounded by her loving family following a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles E. (Chuck) Newcomb; daughter, Rebecca Land and husband, James of Miami, OK; daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Harrah and husband, Eric of Moriarty, NM; six grandchildren, Michelle, Amy, Nikki, Kristen, Cody and Cheyanne; five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Ashlyn, Blake, Bailey and Haley; one sister, Ruth Lane, Illinois; and one brother, Ralph Meredith, Missouri. She was preceded in death by one son, William. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 8, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Harris-Hanlon Funeral Home, Moriarty. A woman of strong faith in God, Mary was known to many as a teacher of God's word and a valiant prayer warrior. In lieu of flowers, donations for a special memorial may be made to the family.
