GRANVILLE -- Esther Luxton Granville, 100 years old, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H, Granville; and son, William A. Granville. She is survived by her daughter, Susan G. Conway and husband, Dr. Martin J. Conway; grandchildren, Ann Conway-Samora and husband, Troy Samora, Tim Conway of California, Lisa Granville-Dirker of Germany, Ned Granville and wife, Anne of Atlanta GA, and Lynn Granville of California; and great-grandchildren Nicholas and Caitlin Granville and Trevor Samora. Mrs. Granville was born July 18, 1903, the daughter of Franklin and Lillian Luxton, in Saginaw, MI where she lived most of her life. A graduate of Central Michigan University, she was a schoolteacher of elementary education and also taught adult sewing classes. Mrs. Granville was active in the Methodist Church her entire life and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, bridge and sewing; and was also a member of local women's clubs. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2003, at 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Rev. Margot Thompson officiating.
