BURKE -- John Frederick Burke, a resident of Highlands Ranch Colorado, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2003. He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a good man. John F. Burke, "Jack", was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on June 9, 1926. In 1949 he graduated as a Lieutenant from the United States Naval Academy and he proudly served with the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. For 30 years Jack gave dedicated service to his country, working for the AEC and DOE in Albuquerque. He loved cooking, sports, writing poetry and songs, and, most of all, playing with and teaching little children. Jack possessed, wisdom, compassion, and a sense of humor that we will dearly miss and that will always be remembered. Jack is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Ryan and John; daughter, Lucy; sister, Patty; brother, Doug; along with Michelle, Michael, Kathy, David, Bobby and many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is at peace in Heaven with his beloved son, Dan. In memory of John F.
