CHAVEZ -- Raymond Chavez, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 17, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sally Chavez of Albuquerque; children, Raymond Chavez Jr. and wife, Linda, Mark Chavez and wife Debbie, Anna Maria Ulibarri and husband, Steve. Raymond was a grandfather to Steve, Daniel and Sally Ann Ulibarri, Stephanie and Elaine Chavez, Eric Chavez, Lisa Donelan and great-grandfather of Aren and Jessica Chavez, Preston and Grant Ulibarri, Justus, Alexandra and Pierce Ulibarri. Raymond served his country in the United States Army, during that time he continued his boxing career which had begun at Albuquerque High School, and was an Albuquerque Firefighter for 30 years, retiring as a Captain. Services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. and Monday, September 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Family Worship Center, 5200 Iliff Rd. NW. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300
