Easterling -- Judy Carol Easterling died suddenly of heart failure Thursday, August 13, 1998 while on a trip to Dallas, TX. She was born August 21, 1944 in El Dorado Springs, MO, the third daughter of Emmett and Charlie Cross. She married Robert Easterling on August 21, 1965, and they moved to Albuquerque in July is survived by her husband, Rob; sons, Michael Robert and wife, Karen of Apex, NC and Jeffrey Alan and wife, Valerie of Antioch, TN; mother, Charlie Neva Cross of Butler, MO; and sisters, Mary Jo Speck and husband, Frank of Raymore, MO and Janice Elaine Tatro and husband, Aubrey of Lake Lotawana, MO; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. A third son, Mark Bennett died at childbirth in 1969. Judy received an Associate's degree in accounting from Montgomery College, MD in 1977 and worked as a bookkeeper at St. John's United Methodist Church and an accounting clerk at Sandia National Laboratories. She was a faithful member of St. John's who cherished the friendships she made through the church and loved being a member of its choir. Judy was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, 87110, or to the American Heart Association-NM Affiliate, 6301 Forest Hills Dr. NE, 87110, or to the Habitat for Humanity, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE, 87106.
