Silva -- Dilia L. Silva, 70, of Torreon, NM, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 1998 in an Albuquerque hospital. She was born January 11, 1928 to Frank and Josefita (Herrera) Lujan in Torreon. She married Manuel Silva February 28, 1953 in Tajique, NM. Mrs. Silva had been a lifetime resident of Torreon and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, in which she was married to for 45 years, Manuel of the home; one son, James Silva of Albuquerque; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Dave Kear, Isabel and Ramiro Rodriguez, and Sandra Silva, all of Albuquerque; three brothers, Orlando Lujan of Los Lunas, Fermin Lujan and his wife, Ramona of Albuquerque and Levi Lujan of Torreon; four grandchildren, Manuel and Dustin Kear, Eva Johnson, and Dallas Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Silva was preceded in death by two brothers, Ismael and Ignacio Lujan. Rosary will be recited Friday, September 4, 1998, 7:00 p.m., at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Torreon with Mass being celebrated Saturday, September 5, 10:00 a.m., at the church with Father Richard Olona officiating. Burial will follow at the Torreon Cemetery with Theodore Chavez, Jeff Lujan, Pablo Romero, Manuel Kear, Dave Kear, and Ramiro Rodriguez serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Santos Silva and James Lopez. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary of Mountainair, 847-2331.
