Sandoval -- Daniel Anthony Sandoval died peacefully with his wife at his side August 29, 1998 in Houston, TX. Born on October 6, 1962 in Albuquerque. He was a resident of Albuquerque until his marriage on October 22, 1997. He worked as a chef for many restaurants in the Albuquerque area. He started his career when he was only 16 years old, working as a chef's helper at the Albuquerque airport. During his career, he worked at Gino's, Nicole's at the Marriott, Hyatt Regency, Artichoke Cafe and Andre's. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Bennie Sandoval. He is survived by his wife, Cristal Sandoval of Houston, TX; his mother, Betty Sandoval of Albuquerque; brothers, Claude Sandoval and wife, Cathy of Albuquerque, Tim Sandoval of Toas, NM, and Leonard Sandoval of Albuquerque; sisters, Ruth Nunez and husband, Henry, Dolores Algire and husband, John, and Loretta Sandoval, all of Albuquerque, and Janis Carbajal and husband, Daniel of Silver City, NM; his Goddaughter, Julia; 18 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and many friends. Daniel will be missed by all who loved him. At his request, he was cremated and buried in Houston, TX. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 5, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE, with Rev. Joseph A. Farias, SDB officiating.
