Plummer -- Vera Sophia Plummer, 78, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past five years, coming here from Hilton Head, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 1998. Vera was born January 24, 1920, the daughter of Bertin and Emily Johanson Swanson in Chicago, IL. Vera was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, a member of the choir, and played the piano for the church choir. Vera is survived by her husband, Robert; three children, Robert"Ted" S. Plummer Jr., Janice Leigh Dick, and Sonja Sophia Plummer, all of Rio Rancho; one brother, Clifford Bertin Swanson of Poway, CA; four grandchildren, Karin Carlson Plummer, James Stedman Plummer, Michael John Dick, and Geoffrey Robert Dick. Services for Vera will be Saturday, September 5, 1998, 10:00 a.m., at Calvary Lutheran Church, Unser and Abrazo, Rio Rancho, with the Rev. Donald Neidigk officiating. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, 892-9920.
