Barb -- Gail L. Barb, Sr., 72, a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years, died Saturday June 20, 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Barb; son, James Barb and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Aimee, Julian, and Stephanie, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Bruce Barb and wife, Emily of Ohio, Paul Barb and wife, Tasnee of Florida; sisters, Juanita Arens of Ohio, and Nancy Davis and husband, Mel of West Virginia; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Garland and husband, Dale of Texas, Peggy Pfeufer of Nevada, Margaret Rogers of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Bob Morris and wife, Lil of Nevada, Joe Meyer of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Barb in 1995; and by his son, Gail L."Rusty" Barb in 1976. Mr. Barb was a veteran of US Army and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd NE, with Laura Proctor, Officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd, NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family would like to give a special thanks to Kaseman Presbyterian Inpatient Hospice Unit for their care.
