Sers -- Catherine Sers, 63, a resident of Melrose, LA, formerly of Albuquerque, died Monday, July 13, 1998. Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Sers; two daughters, Marie McDaniel and Sylvia LaCour of Melrose, LA; grandchildren, Dominick Metoyer, Gabriel McDaniel and Blaise LaCour; sisters, Barbara Moran of Shreveport, LA, Rose Helen Metoyer of Rogersville, TN, Agatha Severin of Chicago, IL, and JoAnn LaCour of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Joseph LaCour of Detroit, MI, James V. LaCour of Albuquerque, and Julius LaCour of New Orleans, LA. She was a retired supervisor at K-Mart in Albuquerque; was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Albuquerque for many years; a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers in Melrose, LA. Services will be held July 16 in Melrose, LA. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church Building Fund, 2262 Hwy 484, Natchez, LA 71456.
