Nevarez -- Mr. Robert Nevarez, beloved Husband and Father, passed into the arms of His Maker on July 11, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 8, 1946 and was a life long resident of Albuquerque. He married his high school sweetheart, Rosemary, who survives him. He is also survived by two daughters, Yvette Marie, Valerie Michelle, and son, Robert (Bobby) Nevarez, and grandchildren, Quiana Domenique, Izaiah Armando, and Julian Adan. Robert is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Nevarez; brothers, Tommy and David Nevarez and by numerous other relatives and friends. Robert will be remembered for this warm hospitality and cheerful nature. He was a truly remarkable person who bore a long and painful illness with uncomplaining courage and faith in God. Funeral Services for Mr. Nevarez will be held on Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Nevarez, Manuel SiFuentes, Raoul Herrera, Richard Rivera, Louie Baca and Ray Spacagna. Honorary pallbearers will be Hector Sepulveda and Juan Escobedo. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Sacred Hearth Church.We do not grudge our father his rest, He has-at last-become free, safe and immortal and ranges joyous through the boundless heavens; He has left his low-lying region-and has soared upwards to that place which receives in its happy bosom-the souls set free from the chains of matter.
