Martinez -- Arthur T. Martinez Jr., 59, a resident of Algodones, NM passed away on November 23, 1998. Mr. Martinez is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Patricia; one daughter, Theresa Andazola and husband, James of Albuquerque; one son, A. Patrick Martinez of Algodones, NM; his parents, Arturo and Ramona Martinez of Mora, NM; two sisters, Mae Anderson and husband, James and Margie Ortega; two brothers, Roy E. Martinez and Ted A. Martinez and wife, Linda of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Yvette, Eva, Jessee, Lucas, Jerod and Jovan; his mother-in-law, Jane C. Chavez of Mora, NM; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. Mr. Martinez was a member of the Las Placitas Presbyterian Church, a teacher for 28 years with A.P.S. after retirement he was an owner and trainer of thoroughbred race horses. Visitation will be Friday morning in the Las Placitas Presbyterian Church in Placitas, NM from 9:00 until 10:00 with a funeral service at 10:00, Pastor Jane P. Harmes, Officiant. Interment will follow in the El Carmel Cemetery in Mora, NM. Pallbearers will be, Walter Chavez, Ben Chavez, Ted A. Martinez, Andrew Aragon, Rick Romero and Anthony Romero. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr., SW in charge of arrangements.
