Flora -- Paul Arthur Flora, January 22, 1928--December 15, 1999, 7. It is with deep regret that we must inform you of the death of our beloved husband and father, Paul Arthur Flora on the 15th of December, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, D. Eileen Flora; daughters, Sharea, Collene and Tammie; his sons, Paul, Frank, Curt; and step-son, Alan; a brother, Chawncey Flora; his sisters, Eldene and John Harless, Susan and Donna; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and his father-in-law, Frank Houldsworth. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl, who passed away in 1986; also his two grandsons, Joshua and Kenneth, who passed away in 1996. T/SGT Flora spent 22 1/2 years in the United States Air Force traveling with his family all over the world. He retired in 1968. He then went to work for Tum Pane in Saudi Arabia. He pursued a career with the Solar Energy Test Facility Site at Kirtland AFB Sandia National Laboratories. He spent the last 19 years living in the community of Edgewood, but due to health problems, gave up his beloved mountain home to move to Albuquerque. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. A kind and loving soul. He loved animals and always had a kind word for all. Always going out of his way for others, whether it be fixing a car, or giving a hitch hiker a lift to where ever. His children could never need, if he knew about it and other could always find a friend. Paul, you are greatly missed and loved by those who knew you...sleep well dear heart...Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 18, 1999, 12:00 noon, at the Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM, with Chaplain Ron Cok officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
